Today's Sunbeams lesson was that Heavenly Father gave us the scriptures because he loves us. I told them that the stories in the scriptures were true stories. To teach them what the word "true" meant I told them I was going to tell them a funny story that wasn't true.
"Yesterday I put on pink tights, jumped out of my purple airplane, flew through the air and landed on my yellow elephant." I asked them if they thought that was a real story and most of them giggled and said no.
B. asked, seriously, "Was your elephant being nice to you?" That child has such a vivid imagination that I really don't know if he can tell the difference between reality and fantasy.
